Hagstrom Expands Guitar Lineup with American-Made Custom Models

Indianapolis, IN (July 22, 2005) -- Following the official launch of the legendary Hagstrom line at the NAMM Show in January, American Music & Sound (AM&S) is bringing six new Hagstrom guitar models to the NAMM Summer Session (Booth #1509, Indiana Convention Center, Indianapolis, IN; July 22-24, 2005). Described as "the perfect guitars," the Hagstrom line will expand with the addition of three new American-made models, plus two new electric solid bodies and a 4-string bass.

Alongside the Hagstrom Standard Series, AM&S is producing a line of US-made custom Swede, Super Swede and Deluxe guitars custom-crafted by luthier David Less in his workshop in New York state. At the NAMM Summer Session, Hagstrom will feature all three American-made solid body electric guitars, including the Super Swede in a Single Malt Finish, the Swede in a Dirty Blonde finish (MSRP is $3950 for both models) and a Midnight Ebony finish Deluxe (MSRP $2950). All USA guitars are available with either AAA Quilt Tops (MSRP $3950), Flame Tops ($3499) or Standard Finishes ($2950).

New Standard Series models include the HB200 4-string bass, which is available in three colors - Cherry, Natural Mahogany, and Black. A left-handed HB200 bass will also be available. MSRP for the HB200 is $550.

The brand new F20T features two Hagstrom custom 58 humbucking pickups, a Basswood body with bolt-on Nato neck, and Hagstrom's Full Contact Tremolo System. The F20T is available in Transparent Cherry and Transparent Black and has an MSRP of $425.

The new F301 is constructed with a Basswood body and a Maple neck, and features a HSS pickup configuration plus the Hagstrom Full Contact Tremolo System. The F301 has an MSRP of $475 and is available in Vintage Three Tone Sunburst and High Gloss Black finishes.

Hagstrom also continues to expand the roster of guitar players who are using the company's instruments. Aaron North, a guitarist in the current touring lineup of Nine Inch Nails, recently purchased several Hagstrom guitars. Longtime fan Pat Smear has also added to his collection with new Swede, Deluxe D2F and F200 models.

Hagstrom once estimated that some 800,000 musicians had played their guitars, including Elvis Presley, Frank Zappa, Bjorn Ulveus (ABBA), Bryan Ferry (Roxy Music), David Bowie, ZZ Top, Jimi Hendrix and Noel Redding, Steve Hackett and Mike Rutherford (Genesis), and the Beatles. Current aficionados include Aerosmith, Franz Ferdinand, and The Kills.

The classic Hagstrom brand, manufactured and distributed by AM&S under license from AB Albin Hagstrom, began shipping at the beginning of this year. For more information visit www.hagstromguitars.com.
