AMERICAN MUSIC & SOUND APPOINTS GABRIEL WHYEL TO MARKETING MANAGER

Agoura Hills, CA (January 17, 2006) – Professional audio and music products distributor American Music & Sound (AM&S) has appointed Gabriel Whyel to the newly created Marketing Manager position handling all product lines.

Gabriel Whyel is a seasoned marketing professional and entrepreneur having launched numerous products in the United States and Japan, founded 3 companies, and has been heavily involved in the music scenes of New York, Osaka, Japan, and Seattle. Gabriel came to AM&S from Definitive Press, an outsource marketing firm in New York City, which Gabriel founded in 2002. Simultaneously he was the owner/operator of C Studios, a mixing and overdub facility in New York’s East Village focusing on emerging artists.

Prior to 2002, Gabriel spent 3 years launching interactive and wireless technology products in Tokyo, Japan as Director of Products for TechnoWing Corporation and their US partner, eCal Corporation. Gabriel has an MBA in Marketing from the University of Washington and has also served as Senior Consultant for Vignette Corporation in San Mateo and Founder/Chief Technology Officer for MegaTribe Corporation in New York City.
