AMERICAN MUSIC & SOUND ADDS 20 YEAR PRO AUDIO INDUSTRY VETERAN TO THE TEAM

Agoura Hills, CA (January 17, 2006) – Professional audio and music products distributor American Music & Sound (AM&S) continues to expand with the addition of John Devins as the new National Sales Manager for Focusrite and Novation products.

Devins, who has been in the pro audio industry for nearly 20 years, joins AM&S from Cerwin-Vega, where he was promoted from Sales Manager to National Sales Manager to Director of Worldwide Sales, Pro Audio Division during his two-and-a-half-years with the company. Prior to Cerwin-Vega, he was National Sales Manager at Steinberg Media Technologies.

John Devins was also the principal of Devins & Associates, independent manufacturers’ representative firm, for six years before joining Steinberg, and worked as a sales representative and regional sales manager for Alesis Corporation for four years before starting Devins & Associates. He started out in the audio retail business in San Diego in 1985 at Guitar Center and Professional Sound & Music.

American Music & Sound distributes Allen & Heath audio mixing consoles, Focusrite Audio Engineering signal processing, Hagstrom Guitars, KV2 Audio speaker systems, EtherSound products by NetCIRA, a division of Fostex Japan, Novation Digital Music Systems controller keyboards, Stardraw.com web-enabled software tools, Vestax DJ and club sound equipment, and Walden Guitars.
