Bio:
Darius Holbert was born in Dallas, Texas during what was, according to some locals, the most sweltering August in recent memory. Now, after stoking the flames of Southern California, Darius finds himself poised to burst onto the international scene like a house afire. His composition has won him accolades from clients and audiences alike, his songwriting has won him respect from high profile peers, and his performing has won him admiration from new fans around the globe.
Darius has scored a number of international features and countless shorts. He's worked on films that have taken top honors at festivals like Sundance and Toronto. He's had his work in hit TV shows like Lost and Grey's Anatomy, and in myriad commercials and industrials.
Darius has produced for, toured with, and written for artists as varied as Everlast, the Wu-Tang Clan, Sophie B. Hawkins, Bobby Brown (oh, the stories), and Vinx. He has musical directed a number of live touring outfits, most notably the Mean Red Music soul/rocktronica band ScientificLifestyle. He also has a successful solo side-project billed as dariustx. All of these original projects make Darius' publishing catalog quite extensive, from which a number of songs have been placed in film and tv.
