Adam Merrin

Adam Merrin"I have been playing piano/keyboards all my life, and the Nord Stage is by far the best one I have ever played.  The amount of editing control you have with Nord's wonderful sound library is remarkable.  The experimentation with this instrument is infinite and easy to use at the same time.  Not only does it sound great, but it feels great too.   Also, these keyboards are extremely stable in functionality and built to last a long time!"

Bio:
In January 2007, Adam Merrin released his first solo EP entitled HAVE ONE. Just two months later, his song “Still Alright” was prominently featured in an episode of Grey’s Anatomy which resulted in 25,000 downloads after the show aired.

This sparked the interest of other music supervisors, which led to Merrin’s ongoing licensing streak in film and television: Merrin’s songs have been featured on HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER, THE BIG C, BONES, NECESSARY ROUGHNESS, KYLE XY, GREEK, THE LA COMPLEX, REAPER, NEWPORT HARBOR, CRACKED, and in the film THE HAUNTING HOUR.

Adam is the keyboardist for the Los Angeles rock band, The 88. He produced, mixed, and engineered the band's debut album, Kind of Light, which won them an LA WEEKLY award for “Best Pop/Rock Band.” Kind of Light was also featured as RADIO AND RECORDS “Album of the Week.” The 88 became a staple on KCRW’s Morning Becomes Eclectic, a clearinghouse for rising indie rock outfits.

The band has released five full-length albums, two EP’s, and have been playing practically nonstop with tour dates throughout the United States, England and Canada including opening slots with Ray Davies, Smashing Pumpkins, B52's, Elliott Smith, Guster, Flaming Lips, Matt Costa, and more.

Today the group’s TV resume includes segments on CONAN, LOPEZ TONIGHT, THE JIMMY KIMMEL SHOW, THE LATE LATE SHOW WITH CRAIG FERGUSON, LATE NIGHT WITH JIMMY FALLON, LIVE WITH REGIS AND KELLY, LAST CALL WITH CARSON DALY, and appeared as themselves in a performance on the sitcom HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER.

Currently, while The 88 are gearing up for their big June release of their newest record, Fortune Teller, Adam has joined The Three O’Clock for 2 reunion shows at Coachella as well as other gigs being booked around the festival. Adam has also recorded piano with Ray Davies, 311, and Matt Costa, and plans to continue playing with The 88 as well as recording new material for his solo project.
