Originally founded by Lino Ragni, Studiologic is synonymous with high quality MIDI controlers and ground breaking digital piano and organ instruments. The traditional craftsmanship, together with a deep knowledge of building materials and practices, fundamentally important for an instrument based on folklore such as the accordion, determined the business growth in the following years.
The relationship between technology and handicraft culture has strengthened within a framework of modernization, determined by the use of new polymers and mass production fixtures.
Studiologic has been progressively winning a position of prestige, by putting great care and specific expertise into designing, engineering and construction of MIDI Controllers and digital keyboards with high technological and quality standards.
Passion and commitment to keyboard manufacturing combined with research and implementation of new techniques allow Studiologic to create instruments that refine the interaction between the performer and the keyboard.
Going beyond traditional building techniques in order to innovate the models of production, has always been at the very basis of the Studiologic's strategy.
More than 30 years’ experience in exclusive keybeds meets an all-new, powerful, operating system. Perfect for you to control your hardware and virtual instruments. All provided in a powerful new refreshing way. Working together with musicians we have created a user interface which is perfect for quick navigation and setup, but also gives you excellent in-depth control. The SL88 GRAND is ready to be at the very heart of your system.
A Great Keyboard for a Grand Touch
The SL88 GRAND uses the best-graded hammer action keybed with Ivory Touch and wooden keys, to give you the natural feel of a well balanced grand piano. Each of the keys provides 3 contacts for superior performance. The results of this combination are simply amazing. From the slightest pianissimo up to the strongest fortissimo, the keys translate every nuance of your performance in an inspiring and truly superb way.
Form Follows Performance
With its compact profile, the SL88 is an extremely portable professional controller. Even with its high-end graded hammer action / wooden keyboard, it weighs less then 21 kilograms. The SL88 is studio and stage ready with a rugged full metal casing. Sculptured endcaps made of a highly resistant synthetic material help shield the premium TP40 wood keybed perfectly and provide a safe grip when handling and transporting.
Total Access with Total Ease
Located in the center of the instrument is a razor-sharp TFT color display. In combination with the high quality six-way controller knob, you can navigate through all SL88 GRAND functions fast and with ease: Functions such as switching through the four zones are achieved by moving the controller, and then by clicking and turning the same knob again, you can select and adjust the desired parameter. Simple, intuitive and fast! Additionally, the three pushbuttons to the right of the control knob bring you back to the top-level from any location in the system with just one push.
The SL88 Grand offers three X/Y stick controllers, not just for performance but also for direct control and manipulation of any desired sound parameter. Stick one is spring-loaded for both X/Y directions. The typical use for this stick is pitch and modulation control. Stick 2 is spring-loaded in X direction only. Stick 3 is free in X and Y directions, ideal for panning, cross fading and parameter control. All sticks feature an elegant, aluminium control shaft which feels perfectly balanced and expressive between your fingertips.
The Magnetic Rail System
With the innovative Magnetic Rail System at the rear of the SL88 you can easily adapt a note stand or an extension plate to hold your written notes, music, laptop or tablet. It works as brilliantly easy as it looks. Just click the carriers into the backrail to match the position you need for your accessory items.
Thrilling Control, Peace of Mind
The powerful new software editor helps you to easily setup your virtual keyboard rig. Mirroring the basic functional scheme of the SL operating system, its clear and ergonomic user interface makes creating and editing Splits and Layers a quick and easy job.
Draw Your Touch
The exclusive Key-balance function offers in depth modification of the keybed. Never before has it been possible to fine-tune the keybed of a controller like this. You can easily adjust the playing balance between the white and black keys with the simple turn of a knob, or go further, and fine-tune each and every key individually on the huge key-balance screen to match your exact playing requirements!
More details on SL Editor
Studiologic is proud to introduce a new 2.0 version of its renowned Sledge synthesizer, with new features and sound innovations that will set this instrument above any competitor, thanks to new mix of pure synthesis and sound sampling.
In addition to the incredible sound engine and the user’s friendly vintage control panel, the new features further expand the instrument’s power and versatility; Studiologic and Waldorf Labs (working as a team) have made Sledge 2.0 more flexible as a pure synthesizer, adding the ability to play in Dual Mode two programs at the same time, load Samples and mix post processing Effects in a never ending sound creation.
Sledge 2.0 Key features
Auto Dual mode: Sledge 2.0 can now play two sounds at the same time, in Split or Layer mode; the feature is controlled by a new page of the Global function and allows to simply keep one note (for Split) or more notes (for Layer) and then select a new sound, that will be added to the previous sound; as any other sound, also Dual Sound combinations can be permanently stored in any of the 1.000 available presets;
Sample Player: sound samples and new waves can be loaded in the internal 60 megabyte of Flash memory, played by OSC 1 and modifiable by all parameters of the control panel, adding other oscillators, setting filters, envelopes and effects. This feature can constantly expands the instrument’s sounds and create a totally new combination of synthesis and sampling.
Pitch & Hold controls: a new Global page allows to enable the Pitch and the Hold separately for the Lower and Upper sounds in Dual Mode, allowing to use the Pitch bend on the Upper sound (i.e. for solo parts) and the Hold pedal to control only the Lower (to keep playing a Drums groove or as a Damper for a Piano sound) and vice versa, or to enable Pitch Bend and Hold on both Upper and Lower sounds;
Reverb+Delay: a new function allows to mix both effects; the Reverb keeps the setting previously selected, while the real time controls (time and level) allows to set the parameters of Delay also when mixed.
Enhanced Polyphony: the total maximum number or notes that can be played at the same time have been expanded to 24, allowing to get a better real time control over the new sound possibilities obtainable from synthesis and sampling together.
Sledge Spectre: samples can be edited (keyboard range, tuning and other parameters) and transmitted to Sledge 2.0 by the USB port, with this easy sample editor that allows to first load and play the samples on your Computer and then download them into the instrument’s memory.
Numa Organ 2
Get inspired by the new Numa Organ 2! Its Physical Modeling synthesis is the most authentic revival of the sound of an electromechanical tone wheel organ. But the Numa Organ 2 is much more!
The Numa Organ 2 sound models have been designed to give a wide variety of sounds, derived from the analysis of the main characters of some of the most popular organ sounds, allowing to build combinations using the drawbars and all the available post processing effects (Vibrato, Chorus, Rotary, Reverb, Drive, Click, Leakage). The Numa Organ 2 performs as a clone of some Tone Wheel Organs, and captures some characters of old Acoustic & Electronic Organs by keeping the full flexibility of using any customized mixing, editing function and control.
More than an organ
Using the reversed octave you can select one of the 7 different sound models between Tonewheel Organs, Electric Organs and Church diapason.
Grab the sound
With the extended control panel you can use more than 30 physical controls to fit the sound to your favorite taste. Any sound combination can be stored in one of the 12 memory locations and can be immediately recalled from the reversed octave.
Ports and connections
Modern and old school at the same time. Connect the instrument to a computer through the USB port and control a real Leslie® by the 11-pins port.
