Nord Stage 2 Testimonial
Bill Provensal from Metairie, Louisiana dropped us a line this week and told us about his new Nord Stage 2! :) Check it out: "I wanted to drop you a brief email about my new Stage 2 keyboard and my experience of the last two weeks.
I just purchased the Nord Stage 2 through Sweetwater. I worked with Brian Cravens over several days so that I understood your products. He was great to work with: under promised and over delivered (this is a very good thing from my perspective). He said that I should receive it around May 15; I received it May 6. He was extremely accurate with the operation of the Stage 2 and the feature set as compared to the Electro 3 (a keyboard I had a brief and wonderful experience).
Upon receiving and setup, I encountered a problem that was important to me. The unit was shipped with OS version 1.06. The Swell pedal and Control Pedal did not function as expected. While not a critical issue, it was important to me as a 40 year musician to operate the output volume by foot. The next day (Sunday) I downloaded OS 1.26 but did not re-try the Swell pedal. I contacted your technical department on Monday, May 9. Within 30 minutes I was contacted by Pablo Mastodon with Nord Technical Support USA. He identified the bug as likely with the OS 1.06 and suggested I re-try the Swell. I did last night and the Swell worked far better than I had hoped. Sweetwater also said they would help but Pablo discerned the problem extremely fast.
Rarely do I find people so prompt and knowledgeable. You have a great support team and I thought it important for me to mention it.
As far as the Stage 2 is concerned – what a great product. For 40 years I have played my 98 year old Steinway D. I am picky about piano sounds and the keyboard feel. You really got it correct with your design and sounds. As a violinist, I also like proper string sounds. Again you really put together some awesome sample. While I never owned a B3, I played a few in the studios and again you have many great sound already programmed.
